Il film narra
della vita di Joan Mitchell (Jan White), la trentanovenne moglie timida e sofisticata di un uomo d'affari di successo,
Jack Mitchell (Bill Thunhurst). La coppia vive

suo stile di vita da casalinga: pulire la casa, pulire l'auto, lavare i vestiti di suo marito e
fare la spesa non sono quello che si aspettava. Jack è così ossessionato con il suo lavoro 

che spesso
ignora Joan e la lascia ogni settimana da sola per lunghi viaggi d'affari. Spesso Joan ha un sogno che la vede
intrappolata in casa a causa del marito, che la tratta come un 

cane.................




Joan Mitchell
is an unhappy, suburban housewife pushing 40, who has an uncommunicative businessman husband, named Jack, and a distant
19-year-old daughter, named Nikki, on the verge of 

moving out of the house. Frustrated at her current
situation, Joan seeks solance in witchcraft after visiting Marion Hamilton, a local tarot reader and leader of a secret
black arts wicca 

set, who inspires Joan to follow her own path. After dabbling a little in witchcraft, Joan,
believing herself to have become a real witch, withdraws into a fantasy world and sinks deeper 

and deeper
into her new lifestyle until the line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred and eventually tragedy
results..........
